Title: Question regarding Opposition!! Need help

Ok well here's the situation. I have Sand Squid, Opposition and Howling Mine in play all under my control. I have Sand Squid tapped an opponent's creature to remain tapped. During my untap step, if I decide to untap my Sand Squid, to use Opposition's ability to later tap Howling Mine and then retap my Sand Squid to retap the creature it was tapping, so that my opponent can't draw the additional card during his draw step, then obviously untapping Howling Mine and Sand Squid during my untap step every time so that I can draw the additional card?? Does this work or am I not using Opposition's ability to actually tap Sand Squid to use it's ability to tap the other creature and remain tapped during my opponent's turn.

Because either way, if I untap my Sand Squid, the other creature will still remain tapped during my phase until I retap it. But that's the thing I'm not sure, can I use Opposition to retap Sand Squid, tap Howling Mine and keep the same creature that was tapped by my Sand Squid tapped succesfully...

You need to tap an untapped creature as the cost to use oppostion, you can not use the squids ability to pay for oppostion, it is one or the other.  In your example you can tap squid to lock down a creature or tap it to pay for opposition tapping howling mine.

Also, When you use squids ability you start a continous effect, causing the creature to remain tapped, which continues until the squid is untapped.  Once the squid untaps the effect ends.  even if you retap it to pay for oppostion, your opponents creature will still untap, since the effect holding it in place was broken.

Oh ok I think I get it now. But just to be sure, if instead of Sand Squid, I have Arcanis the Omnipotent or Archivist, If I tap either one of them to use Opposition's ability, will I still draw the cards from Arcanis or Archivist???

no because you are not tapping them to pay for their ability, you are tapping them to pay for opposition's ability.

When a card has an ability it is written like this  cost : effect.  Notice the colon between them.. so basically you need to pay the cost to get the effect.  So when you go to the movies you have to pay $7 to see the show,   same thing you have to pay to draw the card and the payment is to tap the creature,

but that $7 you paid to see the movie won't  buy you popcorn to.  that requires another payment,  basically the same payment can;t be used for 2 things(effects)
