I'm pretty new to MTG, but my collection is growing rapidly. Currently, I am storing my cards in a shoe-box. My question is, what is the best way to store your cards?

In a way they won't get wet.  Other than that I think I've done just about everything.

Plastic sleeves are sold all over and big card boxes are available at card stores and then travel card boxes, some with cool graphics, should be available as well.

Only one problem I've found with shoe boxes. . . cats. . . shitting. . .cards are like sand. . . other than that at some stores you can buy colored shoe boxes and orginize like that

I\'ve tried every way imaginable. But I have found the flat-out easiest storage way (for me) is to use the nine-card page holders. they have slots for nine cards per page, and you can put about ten cards max per slot. And you can have them in back to back. this way you can see exactly what you have without searching through a stack a foot deep (Yes I have done this... many times) every time you want to make a new deck...

I'd need around 20 binders then.

With the amount of cards I had I only kept the expensive rares in the 9 card holder.

The 9 page card holder sounds good, but I use my own system of organizing them. I separate them by color first, then card type (creature, instant, etc), then I arrange them in mana cost highest to lowest. I'd hate to move every card in a binder down a slot every time I get a new card...

lol, been there, done that.

Yea, you're organizing now, but give it a couple of months and "thrown into a lunchbox" will seem like a good option for sorting.  lol

Store your rares in a binder. As for commons and uncommons, I use the booster boxes I get from the local Card chop or a special plastic card box that you can pick up from almost any Walmart.
