Title: Question about Hive Mind?

Let's say, I have Chalice of the Void in play for 0 counters. And my opponent tries to cast his 0 coster pact with Hive Mind in play. With Chalice, will it counter that copy, the one that i will receice from Hive Mind or not, or even the one he's casting. Even if the card says cast, it will be casted whether it's countered or not, but it will be countered due to Chalice, and will it resolve due to Chalice? Meaning, is it counterable that I won't have to pay the cost of pact at my upkeep and if not loose the game?

only the orignal will be countered since it is the only one cast, the copies will all resolve. So if you cast the pact yours will get countered and you will not have to pay the upkeep, everyone else will

Oh, ok I see now it makes sense, well that turns out great, it was mostly against me , if ever I encountered the Hive Mind deck, thinking if my Sb Chalice would help against it, I guess not then, his pact would be countered, but the copies put on me will not and so will have to pay at upkeep. I get it, oh well, good to know. Thanks Gericault I knew you would be one to reply lol, been such a long time I havent been here on the site. xD
