Title: Which do you prefer, equipment or aura's?

Which do you prefer, equipment or aura's?
(and please do not say equipment just cause of stoneforge mystic or whatever. >< )

I personally like aura's, they can do crazy shit if you know how to use em right :)

for example...
i had a legacy green white blue aura deck...
i cheated out eldrazi conscription on THE THIRD TURN...
my opponent destroyed it, but i did something to get it back the very next turn.
this happened 5 times,
i cheated out an eldrazi conscription... 5 times... 
and that was a normal hand too.

HOWEVER,
i also really like equipments, especially cause of things like Kemba :)

i personally like Equipments because you can equip it to other creatures without using other cards plus if the creature dies, you can still equip it to other creatures... plus the stoneforge mystic...

what is hate about the Auras is the fact that you must have a target to cast it...

I'm old school but i'm also open to new and improved versions of cards... and equipment is just that to auras...

Bullshit! Equiment is just a lame way of artifacts trying to be more like enchantments, getting rid of all the unique differences between the two for a cheap dollar.

well, there will always be improved versions of cards... so you also think Elite Vanguard is bullshit because it's trying to be a better version of Savannah Lions?

Equipments simply because:

1. Living weapon

2.Living Weapon

3.LIVING WEAPON

4.LIVING MOTHERF@$KING WEAPON!!!!!

That and the swords have nifty artwork...

elite vanguard isn't better, its really just the same. . . just less money.  On the other hand, equipments like I said are more or less just trying to make artifacts more like enchantments, which if fully unnessary

enchant creatures more bang for your mana, meaning your ornithopter swamp dark ritual and 3 unholy strengths gives you a 6/5 flyer, cant do that with equipment

Equipments usually are the more viable option, especially to me, because they stay past the demise of the creature. Stoneforge Mystic is 1W. Totem Guide Hartebeest is 4W. I, as a type 2 junkie, cannot wait for a 5 drop tutor in competitive. Since when has the Hartebeest won any tournaments? :P Both are nice though Sovereigns of lost Alara with Steel of the Godhead? Forget about it. You got that shizbomb down. Kill them all with force in hand~

Elite Vanguard is slightly better because the creature type is commonly used on decks and may get pump ups from creature type specific effects like:

Raksha only affects CATS... Lions are feline but not cats so no...

I like auras more, but equipments are better. Many's the time I've lamented over multiple auras headed for the graveyard with the critter they're enchanting.

I ask you, which would you rather have: Armadillo Cloak or Behemoth Sledgehammer?

Just like the bird errata, all types of felines have been errataed to just cat, and all species of bird are now just bird.

In that case, Raksha gives buffs to Savannah Lions but hey Elite Vanguard gets more buffs from other cards...

Yes, but savanagh lions fits just as well into a cat deck as elite vanguard fits into a soldier deck, I don't really think it can be claimed that elite vanguard is better because it has two creature types making it benifit more random creatures while coat of arms is out (which can be a curse).

Not neccesarily...
dont always judge a card by its rarity.

there are some AMAZING cards used alot in things like legacy, which are only commons.
