Maybe a dumb question,

But would Having torpor orb and Opalescence in play then you play something like hecatomb,
Would the orb bypass you having to sacrifice creatures?

I don't think so, because hecatomb has to resolve as an enchantment in order to then be affected, due to the fact that it's a triggered ability, I would think hecatomb would have to fully enter the battlefield before become a creature, I may be wrong, but there's my 2 cents.

no, that would work! O.O ...

because enchantments being creatures is a constant effect,
so that would enter as an "enchantment/creature" and have no activated ability from entering the battlefield :D

That'll make death pit offering and overlaid terrain kinda sweet.
I'm assuming the same would be true for artifacts/lands?
Could have some interesting possibilities.

yep! same would be true with artifacts/lands :P ,

this could prevent lands that return a land to your hand from play from doing that if it was a creature with torpor orb in play... :D

im interested to see what combos people might come up with with this... :P
