Title: It had to be asked (Deck Types)

This time the question is pretty simple, what kind of deck do you mostly play and why did you choose that deck type?

I'm currently playing a karate/greifer  red/black infect deck. I play it because it is good against an aggro metagame, and can also handle valakut if necessary.

I can say there is a specific deck I play more then others in casual play, though I do prefer the RB combinations.

In standard I am currently playing a BU infect control

I'm split between elf decks and white weenies... so maybe a mix of the two?

Uber Infect 5-color with Praetors and a hell load of mana fixing.

By the way, DJ, why'd you change your avatar? the other one suited you so much more.

What can I say, boredom is a hell of a muse. But the editing software helped quite a bit for this photo. I'm working on an animated avatar of my adorable little mascot, but alas that is a tale for another day.

Hey Stonah, I'm thinking about making a Blue/Red unblockable aggro deck, too. Could you post yours up to help me get some ideas? Is it standard, extended, legacy, etc.?

Anything with fetch. Green is a god. i am all about the Type 2, I have in progress U/G Robotigolem, U/W Tempersquad, etc etc. Blue is becoming more about fetch and aggro than counters and draw, at least for me.

@Scotty

Lands:

Scalding Tarn

Steam Vents

Mountain

Island

Creatures:

Stream Hopper

Goblin Guide

Riverfall Mimic

Briarberry Cohort

Noggle Hedge-Mage

Noggle Bandit

Dominus of Fealty

Mindwrack Liege

Other Spells:

Lightning Bolt

Clout of the Dominus

Vapor Snag

Schismotivate

Sideboard:

Schismotivate

Neurok Invisimancer

Distortion Strike

Gigadrowse

Arc Trail

Briarberry Cohort

This is basically what it is running atm. There might be a few changes soon, considering mid range control decks screw it up, but other than that, it's a pretty good base. It sits around the mimic, otherwise it could be faster and generally mono-coloured, but it is a fun deck and the first I ever made completely.

as per your question, i play soldier edh or exalted rafique abuse edh most times... though i usually have 15-20 decks running at a time... so it is hard to say... i do have a mono black infect deck (no rares, and is all type-2... call it a pauper type 2, as it is meant specifically for a group i play against on occasion... where we dont use the rares... i have a stupidly powerful deck with rares in it... but the deck solely of common and uncommon is meant as a challenge)

also got a zombie and faerie deck i am working on... suggestions would be welcome for the faerie deck, as most faeries were printed when i was not playing (during my hiyatus from mtg)

@Dracolich regarding my deck.

Not sure if your tone is in disbelief, amazement, or just meant as mockery. Care to be a bit more specific? (Please note I don't mind if it's mockery I just need to verify this, just in case I need to make a witty comeback or something else ridiculous.)

@Dracolich regarding the Fae:

As far as faeries go... Scion of Oona, Mistbind Clique, Bitterblossom, thoughtsieze, spellstutter sprite, faerie swarm,  and pestermite come to mind. As far as how the deck plays...well I think it's control, but most of the time all it ever did to me was tap down my lands via Mistbind Clique...I have this nasty habit of discarding people's hands, and for that I thank you my dearest sweet raven's crime.

Thanks Stonah. I'm going to try and make mine standard, but your deck gave me some ideas. Thanks again!
