So,

ever try to make a deck based around a card?

its really fun.

so i decided to make a topic where we post challeges for basing a deck around a card :P

Heres the first challenge:

Too easy. It's pretty simple to abuse due to Ursapine's existence.The Steel Hellkite should provide some epicness if I get him, sakiko's mark, and Finest hour down.  This is just a rough draft of what I'm going to try via cockatrice. Who knew mutant hedgehogs could be a threat. (Wait... isn't that the plot to Sonic the Hedgehog?)

Just make a deck with a lot of counterspells and that as the only creature.

Well yeah, but that can be done with any big blue beatstick. (Glares at Mahamoti Djinn.) What I would like to see is someone abuse this creature's come into play ability. (Unless a little creativity is too much to ask...is it?)

You could make them play it with Mindslaver and something, then kill it. It seems unreasonable though.

Use it to return Hellspark Elemental-like creatures.

Use Sneak Attack with two of them and Pandemonium

If you're going to make it a challenge, make it a GOOD challenge!

For Denizen of the Deep. Turbo Mill. or just any landfall you want to abuse.

Green mana ramp + any one of the soul sisters + fastbond + Life or any on the other cards that make lands into creatures + the milling crabs.

I.e. Have fastbond in play, turn your lands into creatures, bounce them with denizen, then drop a soul sister, then drop the milling crab thing, and drop all your lands again. You can also throw in some land search. Lord knows green has enough of that.

Edit: YOu can also throw a bounce card for denizen, put the mana in your pool and drop him again to repeat; If you have enough mana available.

This is the synopsis of a basic way to abuse the glass, which can be fun once you fill your hand with a horde of hawk's, wolves, and elves, combine it with the liege and they get a little more buff.

I think twinning glass would be great with big eldrazi creatures. they are so expensive that it would be nice to play 2 at once.

Nice toolbox, DyingJester. I read your comment about you collecting about 50 shocks in one of the recent combos and my brain couldn't help but go woosy with options. I posted the same decklist on the combo you also posted your amazing number of shocks, but so everyone else can see it as well:

30 Shock

10 Thrumming Stone

5 Mountain

15 Scalding Tarn

Forger has something with that list. To play in an unlimited format would be fun (even if it is a homebrew.) I think it would be quite amusing to drop multiple ponders, or even chromatic stars alongside a Etherium sculptor in a fifty card draw loop to fetch a storm spell.

Umm, easy. It will use Illusions of Grandeur + Donate. Probably Call to Mind as well to re-buy your Donates.

They should make a format that only allows 10 cards (excluding basic lands) You could have any number of copies of each card.

Black Lotus and Channel are banned.
