Ok,
so...
this site has yet to put up some kind of forum thing seperating each topic...
(personally, i think it needs it seperated into "sets", "combos", "formats", "decks", "speculation" and "other")

but ANYWAYS,
i decided to put this up here for questions to be answered here regarding formats/rules/certain situations in those formats...
and as well as to just talk about formats.

I can answer most questions,
although,
i have a few questions id like someone to answer for me though...

are the cards you can choose as your "commander" ANY legendary? or is it from a set list?
and if its any legendary...
then if you chose Sen Triplets...
would you be able to make coloured mana outside the B-U-W colours for playing your opponents spells with sen tripets' ability?

Serra ascendant in EDH...
wouldnt it start as a 6/6 flying lifelink since in EDH you start with 40 life...?

The thing to remember is EDH is a casual format so the rules can be modified by your playgroup, however to answer your questions based on the generally accepted rules

Any legendary creature can be a commander however it is recommended that braids, cabal minion and rofellos, llanowar emissary are not used as commanders

No, you can only make mana in your colors, attempts to make anyother color will be met with colorless mana instead. To make the triplets effective you need to have cards like, mysonth lattice and celestial dawn in your deck so you can pay your color mana as mana of any color.

Yes it would, for the reason you just stated. In fact one of the most common house rules I have seen is cards that require a specific life total, such as this, rune-tail kitsume, guul draz vampire, require double the printed amount. So this card would be 60 life to get the bonus
