Title: NEW BLOCK: INNISTRAD

So, the new block that went by the codename "shake" was announced today.
its name is "innistrad"

The prerelease is to be september 24-25, and the release is the 30th.

Really exited for the new Liliana, the first one was kind of underwhelming.

Underwhelming? Seriously? I take it you don't play against many creature heavy EDH decks. Liliana is a fun finisher if you play U/B mill. Plus she is a Harbinger Reject great search engine for a proliferate build. (Titan forge ftw!)

OMG Arcana 666! Nuuuuuuuu!!!!! This means we will see legendary creature-antichrist in Innistrad.

The end is near...dang looks like those blasted grown ups were right for calling WOTC evil...curse you caring members of our society who only have our best interests at heart. CURSE YOU!!!

New Liliana? New Garruk? I'm pumped alraedy. It would be cool if they went to a ravnica like more politically charged set, lots of color hosing and alliances. Not like the over expanded shards of alara

Last we saw lillian and garruk she was using the power of the chain veil to kill the demons she contracted with. And garruk was pursing her to break the curse she infected him with. But that story was never finished
Since we know the pic to be liliana basede on looks cloths crown and she is holding what appears to be the chain veil it is safe to assume this set finishes tthat story which will mean garruk is involved.

Ok since I'm talking about it...when I first heard the name I felt it had a dark quality to it. Throw in the picture especially with the corpse on the left side. All I am thinking is a set like Torment which would be friggin awsome. And I'm calling it now liliana will be mono black garruk will be gb

And a side note is anyone else pissed off we know the name of the set in Sept but not the one coming out in may

I was about to post that the name of the next set wasn't revealed yet... but i was still searching the internet to confirm that it wasn't, in fact, revealed... Why is that? i wonder... Hmmmm

that will be sick, the first G-B planeswalker... :P ...
i bet you anything we'll see some decks with Glissa the traitor and this possible new garruk... :)

And yeah,
they still havent said the name of "action" yet...
they even went as far as to show people what the boosters for new phyrexia or mirrodin pure will look like, not just the one it will be... :P

garruk in the webcomics spends a lot of time on ravnica, despite liking the wild. Do you think we could be seeing a return?

I was wondering that as well, some of the design team did ravinca, in fact it was Richard Garfields last set he worked on. 

As long as we are on the matter, and mind you this is speculation, as a necromancer I think it is safe to assume liliana can "kill" a ghost.  The corpse in the corner, long boney fingers, shoulder plates, v shaped hairline, hints of red in the clothing...

True he has less hair but there is a facial resemblance

Then again vampires tend to share many charactaristics.

Hmm, I hope that we don't go back to Ulgrotha(the Homelands Plane). It would, however, be really awesome if we could go to Liliana Vess's / the Sengir Family's origin plane. It looks like they come from the same plane. Also, Liliana has no tattoos in here; any idea what that means?

You know I azcvtually thought the baron first. Castle sengir goes better with the gothic feel of the background. However I didn't want to believe that the baron would get chumped by lillian so easily. Svadak one the other hand was already in chump state. Though if we did go back to ravinca we will have to deal with jace again though gidion could be cool.
I suppose it could be one of the barons underlings. It is a possibilty homelands never was finished only that one set instead of a block. Now that I think about it isn't this suppose to be a short set along the lines of lorwyn. I thought I remember reading that somewhere.

I enjoyed the flavor of homelands and the set as a whole (makes me a bit unique). I would not mind a return of dwarves, as that is likely to happen with a return.

@forgerofpie-  Umm...Innistrand.  The code name was "shake" the other sets in the block are rattle and roll. 

As cool as it would be to return to ravinca or ulgorda (sp) the name of the set might prevent that.  Ever since Time Spiral the pattern seems to be that the first set of a block contains the name of the plane the block takes place on.  Following that pattern it stands to reason the plane it takes place on is called Innistrand, which unfortunalty takes out ravinca.  At the end of homelands the baron was leading his army to conquer ulgorda.  It is possible he succeded and renamed the plane.  Another possible link to homelands is that Innistrand it the plane that is contected  to it though the planer portal, which will mean dwarves are a possiblity

Not really. If anything they look more like black dragons, but a little less...large than this fellow.
