These four cards, I always considered to have the most flavor to them, being that these are the only four, and they show clear progression in power/toughness which is reflected by their ability and their flavor text. I can't really think of any other creature type that did this. . .

Yeah your right. The most we've had as far as those type of interactions (other than the carriers) has been stuff like greater and lesser versions (i.e. Greater Werewolf and Lesser Werewolf.) and even then nothing as in depth as the progression of phyresis by these cards. Awesome flavor really, If flavor had any meaning in New Phyrexia.
