When a magic block is being worked on it, each set is given a code name.  The current set was Lights, carama, action-with light becoming scars, camara becoming beseiged.  Action's name is not released yet

Lowryn/shadowmoor will rotate out when the next block comes out in Oct.  the new block will become legal

Don't know

Maybe they don't want to give away to much before its time.

'Maybe they don't want to give away to much before its time.'

Pretty much exactly this.

Also the WOTC design team are tremendous geeks and love themeing the block names after sayings etc.

e.g.
Peanut - Butter - Jelly
Lights - Camera - Action
Shake - Rattle - Roll
Live - Long - Prosper

'Action' will either be 'Mirrodin Pure' or 'New Phyrexia' based on the outcome of the war. (so given the power difference, probably New Phyrexia...)
