I thought... its very controversial. but whats the most powerful colour in standard right now?

in my opinion, definitely white. white has gotten really crazy, especially with ROE and SOM.
and white is getting ALOT of craziness with the Besieged set coming out.

post your opinion on whats the most powerful colour in standard

Well, I feel that every color has it's own powerful statagies. If I had to pick one it would be Blue. You can add any color(s) with it to make a devastating control deck. You just have to use the right theings in the 2nd color. I rock out FNM with U/W, U/B, BUG and Bant all being very sucessful control decks. Green and White are pretty close behind in there power rating and well red seems to play well by itself rather than with others. I can say that if I were to make a mono color deck, I would choose white so I'm with you there. Interesting post though.

blue/white is crazy in standard.

The Mana-ramp that it gets is awesome...

Well, Eldrazi green is kinda retarded powerful. I had a terrastomper destroying my day on turn 4 skype match. I lost game one. game two he played a rampaging baloth and managed to get 3 token 4/4's all on turn 4. I was playing jund and topdecked a maelstrom pulse dealing with the beast tokens. shriekmawed the origanal baloth. low and behold, he hard cast summoning trap into a Aeon Torn on turn 5. His extra turn was my biggest nightmare. Ever since RoE, Green has been gay. Overgrown Battlement, Growth Spasm and Jororga Treespeaker. Thanks RoE. I hate Green tonight!

yeah, green can be annoying, but its my fave colour.
for the most part though, each colour is not so great against its enemy colour.

green, against black, has to face up to creature kill, -1/-1 counters, etc...
and against blue, green has to face up to countering and stuff that bounces your creatures back to your hand.

white is really good in standard cause it has stuff to prevent damage, gain life, or stop you from casting spells.. while ALSO being probably the strongest in the early game.

White has always been given a lot of love throughout the entire game. Especially when we only consider mono-decks.

It has creature control, enchantment/artifact control, permanent control, damage prevention, lifegain .... and now infect too!

Black has always been the most nerfed colour - it has creature control, land control, hand control, limited lifegain, costly mana-acceleration, and infect.  - No enchantment control whatsoever, only 2 cards in the entire game that deal with artifacts (both by sacrificing creatures), no permanent control, and the weakest damage prevention possible (with a few key exceptions that require you to nuke your own creatures like simulacrum).

Vampires are basically the only good thing that has come out for black (and infect was a nice touch too), but oldschool black is the hardest colour to play with. You have to know what you're doing to play with black well.

Black should have artifact and enchantment control (even if it is costly)

Black has great power but at great cost. its tricky to master. Most def the hardest to understand the power level for newb's. The best players like black.

Best players like black? Hmmmm, i wonder... maybe for vintage decks, yes but now there are varieties of powerful decks that doesn't use black...

But still the mana ramp of green is my bet.... but i've seen a mixture of those colors and it's just overpowered...

Lets talk about Red. This new goblin has much potental. Battle Cry reminds me of of that Bant mechanic from Shards what is it...Exalted? They are similar. White doesn't need any more power but it got it with battle cry. Red could use the help with this artifact cycle.

On a side note: I attemped to draft Red Scars last friday and failed. A guy across the pod was stealing all the shatters and Galvanic blast and then did not even play red. hater. I tried to run with a sac artifact stratagy and it was an epic disaster along with the two Kuldotha Rebirth's that I pooled. why so week? well, no spot removal probly had something to do with it. The color just seems week in limited and needs another color to help it in standard.

I have also been testing a new Merfolk build in standard, Mono Blue, thats a little different. Plated Seastrider's, Scroll Thief's and Guard Gomazoa's tend to throw my opponant off a bit. Twisted Image flips thier P&T and cantrips. I run 4 Spreading sea's and 4 Harbor Serpent's as a win condition but the coolest thing about the deck is seeing my opponants face when I put Halimar Wavewatch into play, level it once to an 0/6, put Distortion Strike on the stack. If it resolves she's a 1/6 unblockable followed up with a Twisted Image making her a 6/1 unblockable. After that I can continue to pump her to a 6/6 islandwalk with spreading sea's to back her up. I have some Lullmage Mentor's and some counter magic to back that up along with Sea Gate Loremaster's and Merfolk Sovereign's for her effects.

Halimar Depths, Preordain and Augury Owl to stack my book.

Any suggestions?

Battle cry and exalted are like, opposites pretty much.

exalted gives creatures +1/+1 when you attack alone, while battle cry gives +1/+0 for attacking with multiple creatures.

neither are better. exalted is more defensive, battle cry is very offensive

They both have something to do with pumping creature(s) until EOT and they both trigger by attacking Creature(s). Thats why they are so similar to me. They have there differences. I barely played with Exalted. I have a feeling I will be playing with Battle Cry more so. I am already pictuing decks I will build in a month. I wanna build Boros with this ability.

Red hasn't gotten much good cards recently. I hope they will make some new way to use Red.

Battle Cry will be amazing for knights. My friend ran an exalted deck at a Standard tournament back before scars came out, and he made third place. It was white weenie based, without any mythics. Lol. White really is overpowered in color, but I LOVE red. Goblins are ridiculous right now. After RDW went out of standard, all they had was Ascensions, until Opal Goblins came out. It's truly rough.

White is still king in standard right now, but even with it gaining infect i feel its not getting the same level of cards in this block as the other cards, in fact I feel it is one of weakest colors in the block, with most of its support coming from the zen and m11.

Red is becoming stronger, but not in the traditional red sense (ie it's not burn), its getting more strength in creatures especially with battle cry, wouldn't be suprised if red weenies becomes a prominate deck, it has the speed to deal with most color combos including UW, some burn for control  (and jace/venser) but manly cards like Hero of oxid ridge, goblin guide, war driver, bushwacker leading the way .

Battlecry is great ability RG or GW are viable options as well, the ease of putting out eldrazi tokens combined with battlecry will be nice.  though personally I'm thinking going boros right now.
