I'm going to make a Kiln Fiend deck and I need ideas. I'm thinking Red/Blue. Blue provides the card advantage, while Red provides the. . .well, Kiln Fiend of course.

I need ideas!

Oh, it's budget too. I'm going to try and make it as few rares as possible, maybe none. . .

I actually tried making a Kiln Fiend deck, but it had to be taken apart. Now it's turned into a Kuldotha Phoenix deck, and I'm going to use it in a tournament tomorrow (my birthday)! How would you guys go about making a Kuldotha Phoenix deck?

Oh, heres the list ( Sorry nothing's linked. ( I  usually link the cards.)):

4 Kuldotha Phoenix

4 Ornithopter

3 Memnite (Shyamalan)

4 Galvanic Blast

4 Lightning Bolt

4 Preordain

4 See Beyond

2 Prophetic Prism

3 Terramorphic Expanse

10 Mountain

9 Island

1 of each:

   Wurmcoil Engine

   Steel Hellkite

   Triskelion

   Trinket Mage

   Chimeric Mass

   Fleeting Distraction

   Time Reversal

   Darksteel Axe

   Scalding Tarn

And I think that that's all. I didn't count, but if this isn't 60 cards, tell me.

I'm guessing you want a budget deck, from the look of your current one. I posted one that I found on a website here:

I would recommend Staggershock too

Since you're playing a deck using lots of instants and sorceries, maybe Sphinx Bone Wand and Surrakar Spellblade

EDIT: I also think your land count is a bit high considering most of the deck is cheap instants and sorceries. I would go down to 21 lands and add some more utility cards like Ponder.

I prefer Preordain over Ponder and i think that Arc Trail might also be a good addition instead of Staggershock

This deck is Standard. . .as I said above.

Staggershock is a good idea, but I like my land base. I usually get bad luck.

Why are you using spreading seas?

spreading seas is ok, as it provides card draw, plus possible mana denial. but i would be rid of it too.

What else should I put in for card draw then?

You should probably use preordain.

No mention of Standard there or your other posts before other people start suggesting things ;)

The main bonus for Staggershock is you get to cast it twice which would really help the Kiln Fiend. It only costs 3 mana so it curves out quite well after the Fiend.

I would still recommend dropping 2 lands and replacing them with more instants, pretty much everything in the deck is cheap (other than kicked burst lightning)

The other trouble you have is little defence, your only creatures are the Kiln Fiends. I recommend Augury Owl to help with your draws and provide cheap flying chump blockers.

I apologize. I said Standard once. I had it confused with my Destructive Kudotha deck.

I got a Red/Black Kiln Fiend deck if you want to see it.

No one wants to play it a second time once they lose to it.
Normally wins turn 3 or 4. Dies either by damage or Poison counters.
