Yeah! I was surprised it didn't come out in Scars. The art would look awesome. . .

I doubt they will reprint it, if you increase the supply it will devalue the orignals, not to mention they can't be played in most sanctioned formats.

well, you know what's the point of putting it on standard when they're going to ban it anyway...

There actually has been a few cards that have been banned from standard mainly in mirroden. Skullclamp was one since its to damn powerful. 

also during mirroden affinity ran so rampant it was affinity verse anti affinity, that was it. so to try to broaden the field some of the key affinity cards were banned. Arcbound ravanger, discpline of the vault, the artifact lands.

There hasn't been anything banned in standard since then and I doubt there will be there isn't a single card in standard that is as powerful as skullclamp and no mechanic as powerful as affinity.
