Have you ever noticed that they only print lords for popular creature types? i.e. Zombies, Slivers, Elves, ect...

Example#1: Specters - there seems to be enough of them, but no leader giving them all power ups.

Example#2: Sliths - After I saw the first slith from Mirrodin I was hoping to see a leader to them, I didn't have any ideas of what he would do, but ihe would be sweet. Needless to say that never happened = (

There isn't such a thing as a Slith deck or a Specter deck, even though Specters are more plausible for one.

There were only 6 Sliths!

you see there isn't much concept on slith other than beatdown... maybe when they add more sliths...

as for specter, hmmm... that would be good... i wonder why WotC haven't thought of it yet?

first off there are slith and specter decks, so thats not the reason for the lack of lord.  there are many creature types that don't have lords some of which have more cards then both of these together.  When you look at when different lords came out it was always when a type has been established as a collective society flavorwise.  Take Vamps.  they have been around and played for years but did not get a lord until after they were established as a tribal society in zendikar.  flavorwise specters and slith were independents  they did not have a tribal society

at least thats my opinion

also you can;t count steamflogger for anything, as a futureshifted card he was an experiment in possiblilities, riggers may or may not even be printed in the future

You must understand that these types do actually have lords, but they are the lord not specific to any creature type:

lin-baron sengir is a lord flavorwise but not playing wise, he does not give any boosts or abilities to other vampires which is what the OP is looking for.  the first vamp that had an ability that affected all vamps was vampire nocturnus followed by captivating

Houston is looking for cards along the lines of lord of atlantis, elvish champion, wizened cenn, soulstoke.  the two you mentioned don't really fit.  while good can be used for any creature type not just specters or sliths

though ascendent evincar works well in a specter deck

Those Lords don't count, because they work with any Tribal deck. Also, Vampires have Captivating Vampire as a lord, even though it isn't a creature type.

Could you post a link to a Slith deck then?
