Title: Ally deck for tribal brawl

Hey guys, remember me? This is an actual standard deck that I will use in a tournament soon, so feedback is very welcome.

  • 2x Graypelt Hunter
  • 2x Joraga Bard
  • 2x Makindi Shieldmate
  • 3x Turntimber Ranger
  • 2x Hada Freeblade
  • 2x Vastwood Aninmist
  • 1x Glimmerpoint Stag
  • 1x Copperhorn Scout
  • 1x Sun Titan
Other Spells:

  • 2x Join the Ranks
  • 2x Journey to Nowhere
  • 1x Genesis Wave
  • 2x Fog
  • 1x Emerge Unscathed
  • 1x Condemn
  • 1x Marshal's Anthem
  • 1x Smite

I have a lot of standard cards, so I might be able to change this according to your suggestions.

I can't really thing of anything good to say about this deck. . .well, I can't think of anything bad either.

You definitely need 4 Harabaz Druids and 4 Kazandu Blademasters.

Magic Workstation can make a deck with 4 of ANY card. What do you mean, you only have 3?

You said that it was for the tribal fight though. . .

I would strongly suggest getting a 4th Druid and Blademaster. The deck looks rather patchy. I would suggest getting a base, then sticking to it. If you are playing Aggro, take out the Copperhorn Scout, Glimmerpoint Stag, Condemn, and Smite for 4 Kabira Evangels.They are great, because they let you straight through most of their defenses. If you want to keep blockers, put in more Joraga Bards. They let you keep the Ally drop. Fog would be a better sideboard card.

I din't really have any more Ally rares in these colors, but do you think anything else will help?

By the way, the tournament is this weekend.

Can you guys help me with this deck please. The tournament is this Saturday. Gericault, Zark, JMB, Turbine, etc. could you post your thoughts?

If you have the time switch from W/G to B/W... you can get nasty with Mimic Vat and Bala Ged Thief, just let it die then imprint it. Tap the three and make the token to reveal their hand after their draw phase.
The black and white Allies tend to be smaller and just build counters. Just play 4 copies of some of those with Talus Paladin and swing for the fences. Sideboard creature control.

Sorry, I know more about UGW Allies. I would suggest keeping it mono-white or going three colors.

  • -2x Graypelt Hunter-lose, replacee with 3 canopy cover-smite is the other replacement

  • -2x Joraga Bard-replace with 2 more copperhorn, same affect only cheaper

  • +2x Hada Freeblade- add 2 more solid 1 drop

  • -2x Vastwood Aninmist-lose doesn;t help the deck

  • +1x Glimmerpoint Stag-replace with another mimic vat

  • +2x Copperhorn Scout- replace these with the bard

  • 1x Sun Titan
  • 2x Fog

  • 1x Emerge Unscathed

  • 1x Condemn - lose, you are playing more arrgo you dont need to give them life

  • -1x Smite -lose

  • +1x Mimic Vat- add another one

i suggest R/W/B, believe it or not, with Mimic Vat.  i wouldnt have built this deck pre mimicvat, but it could be fun now.

Black - 11
4x Hagra Diabolist
3x Agadeem Occultist
4x Doom Blade

White -14
3x Ondu Cleric
4x Kazandu Blademaster
4x Day of Judgement
3x Kabira Evangel

Red -11
4x Akoum Battlesinger
4x Pyroclasm
3x Kazuul Warlord

Artifact
4x Mimic Vat

Land
4x Swamp
4x Mountain
4x Plains
4x Arid Mesa
4x Salt Marsh

The Day of Judgment will wipe your board, sure, but if you have a mimic vat out, its basically a free choice of what you want.  opponent had a sun titan?  grab it, and get 2 of your allies back, for 3 mana, every time you use the Vat.

Pyroclasm could hurt, except with the Warlord and Evangel, you should be safe to go. 

sideboard
3x Consume the Meek (with all the elf and myr decks out there, this could save you, regardless of wether it wipes your board or not.  replace 2x DoJ and 2x Pyroclasm imo for it when you need it.)
4x Tuktuk Scrapper (kills almost any artifact heavy deck, especially if you can put it on mimic vat against them.)
4x Memoricide (remove combo cards, like destructive force, or troublesome cards like DoJ from your opponents deck.)
4x Painful Quandry (hurts control decks if it lands.)

there you go, thats my take on it.

Sorry JMD, but this is for a tournament on Saturday, so I want to play a deck that I am familiar with. You could post this on another thread and get comments, but I want to keep the deck fairly similar to the decklist that I posted. I'm looking for improvements, not a new deck that is better.

no prob, hunter.  i was too tired to go thru and make sugguestions on each card lol so instead i just came up with this deck list and gave it to yah. lol wasnt tryin to throw your deck off or anything, and was trying to keep it somewhat similar. guess i failed that one lol
