no it would not, when you copy an object you only copy the orignal characteristics of the card, you don't copy any buffs, counters, or effects on that card

That is also why Mirrorweave can copy a card with Graft to kill all creatures

Turbine, forgive me as I expand on your comment so there is no confusion amoung those unfamiliar with copying.

When you mirrorweave a creature with graft it turns all creatures into 0/0 which is the printed p/t of the graft creature, nothing will get the graft counters as nothing is coming into play, and the counters on the graft creature will not be copied either.

However, if you play clone and copy a creature with graft, it will get X +1/+1 counters as a result of coming into play as the graft creature

Basically you can't copy pre-existing counters, however, copies do get counters if its a result of a come into play ability.

Also sidebit about Clone many people I've met don't realize:  Clone can become a copy of any creature even if they have shroud

Seriously? You can clone a shroud creature?

Shroud prevents an ability from targeting, Clone doesn't require you to target

i dont think you can clone a shrouded creature, as "choosing" is the same as Targeting....ill have to check my Comp. Rules book tho.
