Hard to say. It will depend entirely on the deck lists. Good builds of any of those themes can be very tough to beat.

Soldiers tend to be efficient weenies with some good synergies, will probably have the best early game. Monowhite is probably the way to go.

Allies play a mixed game with plenty of options. Could go into blue for card draw and mill, white for weenies, green or red for aggro. Harabaz Druid allows for some sick acceleration, Ghostway give you some nasty tricks late game when you have a lot of allies.

Slivers tend not to have a good early game, most of the best Slivers are multicoloured so the mana base will be shaky. Probably best with a Green core for Gemhide, Virulent and Muscle slivers for early plays and mana generation, with some White for Sinew and Sidewinder Sliver. Then again, 5 colour Sliver Combo can get nasty too...

I like Allies, but Slivers are WAY better. Soldiers don't stand a chance. How about Elves, Allies, and Slivers.

Elves have crazy mana excel and amazing cards altogether. Priest of Titania with Staff of Dominance, Wellwisher, and Elvish Archdruid for example.

Slivers, I mean, do I even have to say anything? Sliver Queen with nearly anything for infinite tokens. Gemhide Sliver and Heartstone for instance. Added with Crystalline Sliver, you are unstoppable.

Allies stand a fair chance. I've gotten off a turn 4 win in Standard with Rite of Replication and a great hand.  I could put in my Sol Ring and speed it up more. Turntimber Ranger with Artificial Evolution for infinite 2/2 Allies.

Zark is right its all about the cards that will provide support to your creatures. If you were to truely judge them you need to look at it in the sense what would happen if the deck was all creatures. In which case it would still be a toss up. Though soldiers will win the majority of the time.
The reason is allies and slivers are both mid game combantants and they both relry on have a lot out to be effictive which ends up limiting the blocking. Soldoers can start attacking right asway and do massive damage before the other two get going. Not to mention since soldiers have been around for years their is a larger pool in which to choose from allowing for greater levels of ability flexibily such as pingers strikes defenders lifelink shroud flying pump cost reduction
Silvers have the abilities and its nice how they combine them however they are week other then the lords most are only 2/2 or less. So if you can keep them in check through constant attacking they don't amount to much
Allies are the same as slivers they nee3d to be in play to make their abilities effective

but allies have good power and def as well, slivers must be on the field but allies just need to come in play, soldiers are kinda like slivers with some of there skills but yes there are way more things you can do with them but i think allies can bring them down as well stomp on slivers

Yes they only need to come into play but but for most of them you need others in play to make them effective. Without others halimar only mills 1 card ondu gains you 1 life. The ones that give pump trample flying protection still give them to a creature that has ss.
Soldiers come into play and attack they don't need the numbers not to mention you can drop soldiers at a 2-1 rate compared to slivers or allies

Lurking Predators also works with Slivers though.

It may all come down to Mana Curve in a pure creature deck. Soldiers can reliably 1 drop every game. Allies can't, Slivers have less options.

Just did a search on Gatherer for CMC 1 Allies. There is 1 - Hada Freeblade (who is ironically also a Soldier).

Slivers have 6 options for 1 drops. Of which probably the best options are Sidewinder (Flanking) and Virulent (Poisonous)

There are 46 1-cost Soldiers, which vary across a whole spectrum of useful. From the pretty awful Eager Cadet (1/1 no abilities) to the awesome Elite Vanguard (2/1).

Soldiers win the early game, Allies and Slivers can't really cope with that onslaught until turn 3 or 4 - unless you add in support cards.

How about we build decks and test it on MWS. I'll take Soldiers, because I haven't ever made one  before.

not necessarily, if your allies are getting support cards so are the soldiers, which brings us back to what zark said it comes down to the build, it is not a guarnetee that soldiers would be done for if the game lasts longer, example it would take alot longer for allies and slivers to recover from a wog then soldiers

and more importantly-while there are some pumping soldiers, they usually get their power from the equipment they have, as a result they are not affected by humility which wreaks allies and slivers

soldiers FTW

turbine-im game, its been awhile since i built a sliver deck

Something which may swing it back towards Slivers is the ability to make effective use of Black cards, something neither Allies or Soldiers can do (very little support for soldiers in black, and all the black allies are crap)

This gives the possibility of playing Extinction in the Sliver Deck - IF you can survive till turn 5.

Thinking the best Soldier builds would either be White/Red Boros style aggro, or classic White Weenie. Possibly Kithkin Soldiers would work too.

It's all about the build. I've seen amazing Elf decks pumping out crazy tokens with deathtouch and trample. And I've seen Elf decks that can't do jack.

Don't discount Cats, Faeries, Kithkin, Goblins or Zombies either! They have some nasty builds.

(well maybe not Cats, but they can make a decent Naya-aggro deck with Savannah Lions, Wild Nacatal, Loam Lion and Steppe Lynx)

EDIT: Am thinking for this challenge you need to use the WOTC Tribal deck rules.

http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Article.aspx?x=magic/rules/tribal

Essentially at least a third of the deck must be creatures of your chosen type.

since i'm going for elves, here's my deck list...

3 Caller of the claw
4 Llanowar elves
4 Elvish archdruid
4 Viridian Joiner
4 Acidic Slime
2 Staff of Domination
2 Immaculate Magistrate
4 Birchlore Ranger
2 Regal Force
2 Planar Portal
2 Wellwisher
2 Seedborn muse
2 Static Orb

Well, i think that's enough
for land...
4 Wirewood Lodge
1 Gaea's Cradle
what remains are forests

with sideboards such as

Fog
Naturalize
Plummet
additional Seedborn Muse and Static Orb

Well that's it for me...

I'll go ahead and build Soldiers now. It's going to take a lot of playtesting.
