What permanents with counters is best to combo with this guy..

Well I run a clockwork deck with it to help pump up my creatures, and I also use Jace and Garruk as a win condition with it in play. I think the best way to abuse it would be with Loyalty counters, because it let's you use your planeswalker's finishing blow even faster.

i would have to agree about the loyalty counters being the greatest abuse. one spell a turn makes it very slow to pop off Jace or any of the others for that metter. Gilder Bairn makes it faster.
