Oh, it totally pays for itself. Not only to you get some old cards reprinted, you also get a Scars card that will not come out till Oct. Also you get an Elspeth. Thats the bet part...

as proconstructed decks, yes they are disappointing. But as single cards I think you get a pretty good deal. $19.99's not to bad.

the fact elspeth is still selling for $30, not including the other cards makes it worthwhile

Yep, but playing the decks by themselves wouldn't be good.

It has the potental to be a fun dualing experience for new players if they play the decks against each other the way they were intended. Elspeths value WILL go down because of these. They will go down even more when she rolls out of standard in October. I sold 3 regular elspeths and a foil in July for $150.00, which was a good deal considering at the time the foil was worth $70 and I plan on buying them back in December when they cost $6 a piece. I'm more excited about the older reprints and the scars cards that are included.

I'm extremely disapointed with Ellie's deck! Not that great, yet I'm going to buy it just for my Soldier deck.

These decks are a big step down from phrexia and the coalition (though the mythics are much better)
