I always wanted to use this card in a deck but never quite understood it's oracle text very well. So to me, I read that it stops drawing card spells (ex: Brainstorm) since you will be discarding that many cards instead of drawing them. And if you discard due to a spell you draw that many cards instead of discarding them. And at end of turn, if you fail to discard a card this way you mill the top card of your library. So if this is correct, I could use One with Nothing to draw the number of cards in my hand (doubling it) with this in play.................

fraid not,  chains does not interact with discard in any way other then the discard it causes.  lets look at the oracle text

If a player would draw a card except the first one he or she draws in his or her draw step each turn, that player discards a card instead. If the player discards a card this way, he or she draws a card. If the player doesn't discard a card this way, he or she puts the top card of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

Basically the text in red says that unless you are drawing the card you would normal draw during your draw step, you need to discard a card instead-this action is a replacement effect, the discard replaces the act of the draw.

The blue text basically says if you did this replacement effect, you can now draw a card-note the "this way" after draws a card it refers to the replacement effect-discarding via one with nothing or any other discarder has nothing to do with the replacement effect therefore you do not draw

the b;lack text basically says that if you did not discard (do the replacement effect) you mill yourself 1 card

Hope that clears it up

So what cards would be good with this.... I'm sure you can do something pretty insane with this card in play, I mean did you see the price tag on this baby!!!!!!! There must be a reason why this card is worth so much, since in that same set you have other pricey cards like Nether Void and The Abyss for example................
