So your main objective is to control your opponent with blue then finish him with red?

Yea pretty much. Use Act of Treason and Fling together. Take their Bigger and Badder creatures with Mind Control and hold them off by countering their lands.

Ball Lightning > Arc Runner
Also, try Kiln Fiend. He works very well with Distortion Strike, and some of the other cards here.
I would take out Diminish, the Quest, and the Lava Axe. Surrakar Spellblade is something to look at too.
Seems like your on a budget here, but if you can get your hands on them, run Scalding Tarn over the Expanse

Arc Runner is easier to put in a multicolored deck though.

I don't think he would have any trouble with ball lightning, it doesn't seem like he intends to drop it turn 3 anyways
