Title: Another new deck I'm making. Artifacts this time.

I want to make this deck pump up my creatures a lot and use Mycosynth Lattice and Memnarch for board control. The problem is, it seems like it would just be too damn slow. Not enough mana early in the game. So, this is what I want to put in (I realize I probably won't be able to fit all of these cards in):

Darksteel Forge (Artifacts I control are indestructible. Great card since everything I will be playing are artifacts.)
Tinker (Only have to sac one artifact, which could be a land, and can bring ANY artifact into play. I can understand why it's banned or restriced...)
Fabricate (Get any artifact into my hand.)
Master Transmuter (Return an artifact to my hand from play and then can play any artifact from my hand.)
Master of Etherium (P/T are equal to the number of artifacts I control. Which will be a lot. Gives my artifact creatures +1/+1.)
Etherium Sculptor (Makes artifacts cost less to play.)
Arcbound Crusher (Get's +1/+1 for artifacts entering play. With Mycosynth Lattice, that will be everything anyone plays.)
Arcbound Reclaimer (Let's me bring artifacts in my graveyard to the top of library.)
Arcbound Overseer (All of my Arcbound's would be getting +1/+1 every upkeep. More if using Coretapper/Energy Chamber and/or Doubling Season.)
Mycosynth Lattice (Turns everything into an artifact.)
Memnarch (Let's me take control of any artifact in play. Can also turn permanent's type into artifact.)
Inkwell Leviathan (Just huge. May be able to easily play with Master Transmuter and Fabricate and/or Tinker.)
Orochi Hatchery (Pump out a lot of 1/1 artifact creatures. Use with Coretapper/Energy Chamber to increase the amount I can pump out every turn. Even better with Doubling Season.)
Doubling Season (Double the counters and tokens made.)
EDIT: Forgot to add Coretapper and Energy Chamber. :)

For mana accel. I'm thinking Llanowar Elves and/or Birds of Paradise. Birds of Paradise might be better because then I could get either green or blue. Possibly Lotus Pedal since I could use Arcbound Reclaimer's ability to bring it back.

Shakii, Gericault, Twogun, JMDin83, I'm looking at you hahaha

Good morning. I'd strongly use green khalni heart expidition is a great booster or if you want to stay artifact based urza lands and expidition map. I'm too tired for real analasis but this is my early thoughts.

In my artifact deck, I use Pilgrim's Eye and Esperzoa to get 1 basic land in my hand per turn...

Yeah, I meant to put that in there. I'm using Tree of Tales and Seat of the Synod. I thought about putting in Myr, but they cost 2 and Birds and the Elves cost 1.

I'm angry about the stupidity of some people. Adding "your mom" to something doesn't make it an insult.

Oh, I thought we were playing around. Eh, whatever.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand... I just remembered Cloudposts. Those seem like they would do nicely in this deck.

the new artifact lord thats comin out will be nice.

if youre making it tournament legal, then no use puttin in Tinker.  if not, then go for it lol.

if you dont mind 3 or 4 colors, then Mishra, Master Artificer is a MUST.  i also run prophetic prism's in my artifact deck since its a mana fixer AND it replaces itself. very useful little bugger.

Disciple of the Vault and Salvage Slashers, Atog and Lodestone Myr.

Awesome!

With Mishra, do you find it difficult to cast? How long does it generally take? Do you have a trick up your sleeve?

if your gonna run cloudpost i highly recommend using vesuva as well... those with the urzas lands and you got all the mana you need fairly quickly.

Actually you only need 4 mana so you can get transmuter. Run Land heavy 22 lands 12 urzas 4 of each and 10 islands transmuter will do what you need then use walking atlases for further acceleration.

How about adding March of the Machines? You already have Master of Etherium to save your own lands (assuming you have the Lattice in play) and it would kill all your opponent's lands (of course, it would make some of your creatures smaller too, but I think it's a decent enough trade off)

ADD EVERFLOWING CHALICE...
it has colourless mana acceleration.
and GREAT synergy with master transmuter
(you can play everflowing chalice for 0, and then just pay a blue with master transmuter to put an artifact from your hand into play.)

also,
add metallurgeon, lodestone golem, sculpting steel, mizzium transreliquat.
POSSIBLY blinkmoth urn, and darksteel colossus

as for casting Mishra, Scotty, i dont really have any tricks up my sleeve to cast him.  i run a 4 color artifact deck , so hes generally pretty easy to get out.  between artifact lands, and fixers like the prisms, or chromatic stars (another card that replaces itsself, YAY!, hes usually pretty simple to bust out.

its fun to play him, then next turn cast Lodestone golem, and get a copy of it lol.

he generally works great with mana-fixing or producing artifacts, but hes great overall anyways, because everything is 2 for 1.

And March of the Machines is ok, but it will kill alll of your artifact lands, since they have no CMC.  it IS a good finisher though.

Maybe a cranial plating or two? this is if your going for beat down but if your going for long game for some reason, use a few of these:

I think turbine is right on this one, mana producing myrs are better than BoP... They are artifact and add an artifact into your power boost...

Archbound Ravager, anyone?

Maybe, if you want an ornithopter... Throw in some affinity deck cards like Thirst for knowledge/Thoughtcast...

Lands - 19

2x Ancient Den  **
4x Vault of Whispers  **
4x Seat of the Synod  **
4x Great Furnace  **
2x Darksteel Citadel  **
3x Academy Ruins

Creatures - 28

4x Atog
4x Disciple of the Vault
4x Myr Retriever **
3x Lodestone Myr  **
3x Lodestone Golem  **
3x Goblin Welder
2x Mishra, Artificer Prodigy
2x Arcum Daggson
2x Dross Scorpion **
1x Bringer of the White Dawn

Artifacts - 12

4x Prophetic Prism
3x Chromatic Star
1x Soul Foundry
1x Darksteel Reactor
1x Darksteel Forge
1x Mycosynth Lattice
1x Killswitch

Other
1x Shatterstorm

** - Denotes a card that is both an Artifact and another card Supertype (Land, Creature, Etc)

Thats the deck, now for the explanations lol

*
Atogs and Disciple of the Vault are just mean lil beatsticks that can
win the game for you, or dramatically help you towards that end if they
arent dealt with quickly.

* Arcum Daggsson and Goblin Welder are
like a Dream Team of artifact synergy.  Especially when either one is
paired with Myr Retriever.
Example:  "Weld my retriever that is
in play to get my darksteel forge.  Retriever's effect triggers,
getting me my other retriever.  i play it and sac it with Arcum Daggson
to get Mycosynth Lattice from my Library, and bring another retriever
back to my hand with the second one's effect.  Rawr..."   that kind
of scenario can happen frequently with this deck lol

* Lodestone Golem not only slows down your opponents decks, but its also a 4 mana 5/3....ill take that, thanks.

*
Academy Ruins helps you get back cards that your opponents zap away,
like the lodestone golem ("i pay 1R to bolt your golem!"  "End of
your turn, i put it on top of my library...pay 2 mana to zap it
again.")  or something else like a win condition (Darksteel Reactor
and the like), or in a real pinch, one of your mana fixers.

*
You might think Killswitch is kind of bad for your deck.  but its not,
as long as you use it right.  if you have a lattice in play first, then
you activate Killswitch, the game is basically on hold until YOU are
ready for it to end. (if you play an Atog before its activated, you can
always sac it before its your turn.  then during your turn, just Goblin
Welder it into play, and activate again.  permanent lockdown on your
opponent, and free room to swing for you.)

* The same principle
applies to my reasoning behind Shatterstorm.  If you have Lattice/Forge
in play, why not blow up everything your opponent has and go for the
throat?

* Soul Foundry works great with Dross Scorpion (in fact,
an old deck of mine used Dross Scorpion, Soul Foundry, and Ashnods
altar, with Cathodion imprinted on the SF to make infinite mana lol),
but you can imprint Myr Retriever, or Lodestone Golems or w/e you need,
and untap it when you sac something.  Voila! either repeated returning
artifacts to your hand via Retriever, or slowing your opponent Via
Lodestone Golem, or even repeatable Welding and Arcum Daggson.

*
Prism and Star are both Mana Fixers AND deck thinners.  Got Mishra
out?  cast Prism, draw a card, search for a prism and put it into play,
draw another card.  win. :)

* Darksteel Reactor is just another Wincon.

Hope you have fun with this list, Scotty!

Okay, so I changed the direction of the deck pretty drastically. I decided to go for a control type thing with blue. Because, let's face it, blue is arguably the best at control. Here's the deck:

Spell:

Tinker x4
Bribery x4
Fabricate x3
Mycosynth Lattice x3
Memnarch x3
Prophetic Prism x3
Chromatic Star x3
Panoptic Mirror x3
Treachery x3
Ray of Command x3
Darksteel Forge x2
Mind Control x2
Sky Diamond x2

Lands:

Seat of the Synod x11
Cloudpost x4
Vesuva x4
Urza's Power Plant x1
Urza's Tower x1
Urza's Mine x1

So, there are a lot of things I could do here. I can easily tutor my Panoptic Mirror or Memnarch or Darksteel Forge or Mycosynth Lattice with Tinker or Fabricate. Whichever I feel like. I could imprint Tinker, Bribery, Fabricate or Ray of Command on my Panoptic Mirror. So either tutor more cards or gain control of one or more of my opponents creatures every turn. Again, whichever I feel like. If I haven't taken enough of my opponents stuff, I have Treachery and Mind Control for back up. With Tinker and Fabricate, I can easily get the Mycosynth Lattice/Memnarch combo. in motion. The others are for mana accel.

Whatcha think?

I think he mistaken the colorless cards as artifacts or maybe mistaken permanents as cards including the ones on your deck, lib and grave which is just wrong... or maybe is not depending on the urza lands...

my only question is how are you running 11x Seat of the Synod since you are restricted to just 4 of them? lol

I have the Urza lands in there basically for mana accel. But you're probably right. Just having one set would be kind of useless. They could probably easily come out.

I had four Seat of the Synod in there because I thought they counted as just land so I could have more. But if not, I'll just swap them out for Islands.

remember, other than  Relentless Rats and Basic Lands you can only have 4 copies of any 1 card.

you don't really have alot of cheap options in which to sac to tinker, you might want to add some ornihopters or the like.  also you can use tolaria west to tutor your lands, which would help your excell as this is a pretty mana heavy deck

Yeah, the plan was to use Seat of the Synod as the sac, but since I can only have four, that's probably not much of an option anymore.

Hmmm, what would you recommend taking out so I could fit some 0 cost artifacts in?

also, instead of the urzatron, go for 3x Academy Ruins.

as for cheap artifacts for the sac, go with Shield Sphere, or any of the "baubles".  Myr Retriever is a great one too.

Hmmmm, how about just replacing the urza lands with ornithopter or maybe Mishra's Factory additional artifacts for you if it becomes a creature... I once did it against my friend, he didn't count a Mishra's Factory 2/2 artifact creature to the power given by cranial plating, he died from ornithopter equipped with it and Loxodon warhammer...
