I have gotten them online before from starcity, coolstuffinc. and ebay, though I always check with the shop first as I rather pay a little more and support them

Local shop in my town. If they don't have it (which happens alot) I go to cardshark.com and channelfireball.com

Every once in a blue moon i will go to mtgfanatic.com if they are cheaper (sometimes), but they are really slow on delivery.

I tend to buy from Phil's shop, he is a big fan of magic, but doesn't get to play as often as he's like as he has a business to run, but it is a very personal service. We talk about combos and the like and you can ask him to keep an eye for cards for you and he'll keep them back.

If I want some of the rarer cards faster I check prices on ebay, and go for an offer I like. (I live in UK and a lot of the sellers are US based so shipping is a big factor)

Yeah I used to go to card kingdom and star city but I realised that channelfireball.com was still a bit cheaper.

They sell alot of their commons and uncommons for $.04 and $.05

So if your looking to make a deck from singles or just buying commons or uncommons I'd say channelfireball is the way to go.

I use http://store.tcgplayer.com/default.aspx?partner=MAGCINFO

Whis is simply a site that shows listings for the prices of all the major card vendors online and allows you to order through them.

Usually at a local card shop. Since they don't have a lot of what cards I want, I might have to start ordering online.

I go to findmagiccards.com and find out which merchant's have Tidal Krakens, and see if the rest of my order is available on their sites.

I'm currently looking for Guru Lands, so if you know a merchant with those cards, let me know.

also, MTGfanatic.com is good at times, as they tend to be just a little behind on raising prices when everyone else does :)

If i can't find the card i want from the local hobby shop, i go to my friend... I borrow from my friend and use it indefinitely until he forgot about it...
