So my friend and i made a U/R kiln fiend deck. it was pretty nasty but with just kiln fiend and Surrakar Spellblade in there, we figured it was kinda lackluster.  then we hit upon the idea of adding Green.

Green has some sick pumping action, plus it allows for Lorescale Coatl and BBE.

This is the deck so far:
21x Land
4x Mountain
3x Island
3x Forest
3x Scalding Tarn
3x Misty Rainforest
3x Raging Ravine
2x Rootbound Crag

16x Creatures
4x Kiln Fiend
4x Surrakar Spellblade
4x Lorescale Coatl
4x Bloodbraid Elf

22x Sorceries/Instants
4x Distortion Strike
3x Into the Roil
3x Ground Swell
3x Vines of Vastwood
3x Burning Inquiry
3x Colossal Might
3x See Beyond

since my critters have so little evasion its tough to get past token decks and other aggro, so the "Roils, Distortion strikes, and Collosal Might help achieve that end, all while pumping one or more critters.

Thoughts?

I see no control. If you roll blue in a deck, you almost always need control. I would suggest Unsummons or Cancels to get rid of those "nasty critters."

This deck is aggro, not control. Overall, the deck looks great!

I agree that it does focus on aggro, but it's hard to aggro with a bunch of blockers on the defending side. It's just a thought. Also, I feel you are in need of a wincon.

Kiln Fiend IS a win-con. Distortion Strike lets you pass any blockers.

personally I'm not a big fan of burning inquiry, too many times I have lost a card that was more beneficial for one that wasn't.  Other then pumping lorescale I don.t see a solid place for it.  I would switch it out for a more stable card draw especially since you would burn through your spells quickly and you won't always beable to rely on surraker, maybe howling mine, another  option would be to replace it with more control aspects to deal with threats suchs as unsummon or lighting bolt, both of which would keep you curve where it is

See Beyond puts the card you want in your hand. Burning Inquiry might make you discard it. They seem to cancel out. . .

I don't understand are you saying its ok to have a card that can hinder you because you have a card which can help you therefore they cancel each other out. Cause that makes no sense to me, i rather have two cards that benefit me, but I'm crazy like that.

the whole deck revolves around playing spells to boost kiln and surrakar, with the drawing for lore as a secondary aspect.  By this aspect you will want to drop spells as fast as possible, which means in 1 or 2 turns your hand will be empty and your in topdeck mode, which will severly limit kilns power, and then what happens when you draw burning inquiry while topdecking, your kiln gets +3 till end of turn great,(and lorescale gets 3 counters) and then either can be chumped by a 1/1, however with lightning bolt or unsummon your kiln gets +3 and you remove the chumper so your oppenent takes damage to.  all in all a better situation

Frankly i think that howling mine is a better option, it keeps more cards in your hand to make kiln happy and pumps up the lorescale at the same time, helping both wincons
