See, all my friends have bandwagon decks. I want one that's a bit different, as I am tired of Slivers, Mills, and Elves. I want to make an assassin deck. The only thing is, this is a first for me, and I'm not quite sure if I should keep it black or stretch it out a few colors. I plan on making the deck based on cards like assassinate. I need creatures that tap other creatures and then I want to destroy those creatures. Any ideas?

Other then merfolk assassin, i can't think of any other assassin that is not black, so I feel mono black is the way to go. In the assassin deck I built i found that kiku, the night flower is a great card, kiku shadow is as well, scarblade elite is good to get a second kick from your assassins that die, i also run blightspeaker for his lose life ability as well as being able to tutor for big game hunter and moonglove changling. moonglove is perticulary nice in that regard as it pops in as a deathtouching blocker and then can kill another creature with scarblade. I use voidmaw as the wincon, he gets pumped huge with all the opponents creatures i kill.

Well, I found that I was in desperate need for a wincon, and you have given me one. Thanks Gericault. Also, the reason I was thinking of stretching it a color would be for something like Fatesticher or Ballynock Trapper. If there was a black card that tapped creatures, that would be awesome. I just don't know of any.
What about Liliana Vess? Maybe I could throw her in there and use a spell to make her Loyalty jump, then use her Ult to get all the creatures in the graveyard put on my side of the field. I could use it as an alternate wincon.

I'm not a huge fan of the planeswalkers, though Lillian might not be a bad idea, as she gives a second target to, patriarch bidding might work as well as long as your opponent doesn;t have all 1 type
