Simple combo taken from the 2014 mono white commander deck with a one card addition to give a little bit of protection to a creature who's sole weakness is not having any kind of protection.

True conviction gives Serra Avatar doublestrike and lifelink.
In your combat phase, you attack with Serra Avatar, and after the first strike, you double your life total, doubling the power and toughness of your avatar before you swing again, which doubles your life total again, leaving you with quadruple your starting life total.

Dying wish is there to discourage removal on Serra Avatar. If you have Serra Avatar enchanted with Dying wish and is targeted with removal, you gain life equal to the avatar's power, and your opponent loses an equal amount of life, effectively making them lose the game.
