Once you get all the pieces out the first thing to do is sac Cathodion to your ironworks to generate 5 generic mana and dunk Cathodion into the vat.

Next with cathodion in the vat you can use 3 of the mana you just generated to make a Cathodion token, and once you sac the token, dross scorpion untaps the vat, and you generate another 5 mana giving you infinite generic mana, Death triggers, and ETB triggers.

Also since Cathodion itself generates the mana for Mimic Vat you can replace Ironworks for any free sac outlet, and Dross scorpion is replacable with Battered Golem and an unwinding clock.
