If any of you can shed some light on how these combinations work I would appreciate your help. I have an EDH deck with Roon of the hidden realm (from commander 2013) as the commander. If I use his ability to temporarily exile a creature, then cast The Great Aurora or Tragic Arrogance,(both from origins) would these interact differently because arrogance says "control" where Aurora says "own". my thought is that arrogance would resolve and at eot my creature would come back but with Aurora it would not?

Great Aurora says PERMANENTS you own. A permanent only exists as such on the battlefield. Elsewhere, its a card. So it only looks at what is on the field and in hands.

Thank You, I was so caught up in thinking "own" vs. "control" that I overlooked the obvious. It's nice to have smart fella's around to help.
