Frost Titan is sitting in for:

Probably the most flavorful way of using the Soul, maxing out its ability with another card from its own world.

Man, I wish the Soul's ability was cheaper... Paying 7 mana for a max of drawing 5 cards seems a little overpriced for a mythic, and it's only marginally cheaper than playing Blue Sun's or Revelation for the same amount of cards anyways. Besides, to make the ability useful at all, you'd need a sweet set-up like this, or you'd just be drawing a few cards max.

Don't forget, its blue, which may not be mana-producing champion material, IS cost reduction champion. Even just a single Training Grounds can turn that cost quite playable.

Lucky for me I have a Transguild Courier deck. Otherwise, I'd say "Stooopid Mythic..."

I personally think soul of ravinica is one of my favorite souls. Its a flying 6/6 for six, which is very good already, and it gives card advantage too. Its ability can be used instantly as well, and I think it will be incredible in the B/W/x decks floating around in standard. The reason that it is unfair to compare this card to sphinx's revelation is that it is a possible draw, lets say three for seven mana, but you dont have to have to discard it after use. Blue sun's zenith is a one use card unless you draw into it after shuffling. Same with revelation, and with both you lose a card in your hand when you get the other cards. Revving for three us only netting yo two cards, since you had to discard a card in the form of the revelation you cast. I think soul of ravnica is really the hidden gem of the soul cycle, and I'm going to experiment with it, because I think that it is possibly the best soul.

Fair enough, 6/6 flyer for 6 in blue is actually pretty good.

My main problem with him is still that damn 7 mana thing. The card advantage is true, but the functionality of having a repeatable draw source for 7 mana (that relies on your current board state) doesn't seem that useful. I mean, if you're running 4 Revs then you draw them occasionally (when you need them - occasionally). But for 7 mana, how often will you be activating his ability really? Especially if you have a weak board state at that moment and it forces you to basically tap out. I wasn't really comparing the function of having an instant vs. a repeatable card drawing source when I made that comparison. I was more looking at it from a cost/benefit standpoint and saying that there were other options available since this card is only particularly useful if you're running more than 3 colours. For utility and consistency, I feel like I'd go with Arcanis over the Soul.

I get what you're saying though, and he definitely is one of the only Souls that has any real potential.
