Exile Ready with EA and cast Life and Limb, cast Ready, tap your forests and repeat.

I think you have to pay 6 mana, even for the activation of only half of the card. Am I correct?

You are correct. Copied from the Elite Arcanist Gatherer page:
"If the exiled card is a split card, then {X} is the sum of the converted mana costs of each half. However, when you cast the copy, you choose only one half to cast. You may cast a different half each time you create and cast a copy."

First, If you manage to turn Life/Death from sorcery ype to instant type, then you are able to Exile it with the Arcanist. If not, you may cast it once and untap all your forests and saprolings.

Second, untapping all lands does not untap the Arcanist.

Therefore Ready // Willing (Ready) in combination with Life and Limb is the better choice since all your creatures including the Arcanist and your forests untap.

The best choice for low activation cost would be Vitalize. Cost {g} and is an instant.

Life/Death is replacing Life and Limb, its heavy casting and only changes your forest- you still use Ready/Willing with Elite Arcanist, but now you untap all lands you have and not just your Forest..

From your description I didn't even think about to replace an enchantment permanent by a sorcery spell.
Maybe you spent some additional sentences for Explanation next posts?-)

Heheheee also included dual lands of type forest (Temple Garden) in his combo. From this I thought that any lands in his deck are forests.

Therefore I still think that Death (Life/Death) is not suitable as replacement for Life and Limb because
- it only holds for 1 turn
- provides no additional benefit
- You untap only your lands but forests under control of an Opponent are saprolings, too. They may be killed and so on...

Hard to cast the Elite Arcanist with just forest and not every one has 9.00 dollar dual lands, And I would only need the infinite mana one turn to win.. Was thinking
Simic Growth Chamber and Simic Guildgate to help the mana curve on a cheeper budget..

Prismatic Omen is about 6$ but Pulse of Llanowar for 0,24$ could help.
Nylea's Presence for 0,16$
Utopia Sprawl for 0,26$ and mana boost.

Or for your spell: Panoptic Mirror 3,50$.

Yeah, it still works if you have 7 lands or Heartbeat of Spring but that could take a while to ramp into.

@Knarf I forgot that activation of arcanist only required colorless mana so I thought it would need the white mana, so Temple Garden is not required.

Regardless of how you gett there its a great Combo, the arcanist is very abusable~!

Replace ready and willing with Vitalize (G Untap all creatures) and instead of Temple Garden, use the UG dual land if infinite blue mana...or Prismatic Omen/Chromatic Lantern to skip dual lands all together.
