Use the Fauna Shaman (from M11) to search for any creature you want then put it into play with the Elvish Piper!

Add anything the returns the discarded creature back to your hand (Disentomb, Cadaver Imp, Gravedigger, Grim Discovery, etc.) or add Sun Titan to put it onto the battlefield (if it's CMC<3).

Poor Elvish Piper... has one of the shortest life spans in an average MTG game...

Give it shroud with things like Whispersilk Cloak or Canopy Cover (and add in a Tajuru Preserver just to be safe).
